Iconic Live expands into event management and corporate hospitality with acquisition of Conference Events Group
Technical events production company, Iconic Live, today announced that it has acquired renowned event management consultancy, Conference Events Group, creating a unique global offering spanning event management, technical delivery and corporate hospitality.
The acquisition enables Iconic Live to deliver an end-to-end event solution, strengthening its position as the premier partner for medical, pharmaceutical and corporate conferences and events around the world. Existing clients include the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Adobe.
“Conference Events Group offers Iconic Live an exciting opportunity to strengthen and expand our offering and deliver services at scale, while continuing the personal service we are known and respected for,” Iconic Live Managing Director, Jordan Walsh, said.
“With a range of high-profile clients including OCS Services, AT Kearney & Origin Energy, and a strong track record of 600 events in more than 23 countries, the acquisition of Conference Events Group supports our strategy to lead the market and meet the future requirements of our clients for a single provider to manage all events and conference requirements under the one roof.”
The acquisition will also establish a new Corporate Hospitality division at Iconic Live, which will deliver tailored packages for iconic sporting experiences including the Superbowl, NBA Finals and English Premier League Soccer.
“Curating unparalleled event experiences is our forte so it is a logical extension for us to enter into Corporate Hospitality. The acquisition will enable us to deliver access to the best sporting and event experiences in Australia and New Zealand, Asia-Pacific, the USA, UK and Europe.”
Ryan Hillas, founder and CEO of Conference Events Group, says the acquisition represents a successful progression for the company he founded in 2013.
“Iconic Live’s acquisition of Conference Events Group provides a major growth opportunity for both our businesses through an extended service offering for our clients. I’m really excited about the acquisition and the opportunities that lie ahead for us,” he said.
“As technology plays an increasingly important and pervasive role in the conferences and events experience, combining forces means we will be best placed to support clients in meeting their evolving needs going forward.”
Mr Hillas will join existing director, Jacob Thomas, in the position of director, and will lead the Corporate Hospitality and Event Management divisions of Iconic Live.
The expanded business will continue to service hundreds of clients globally, including in the Asia-Pacific region, USA, UK and Europe, delivering an expected 300 events in the next year alone.
Iconic Live is a technical production company, formed in 2018 and acquires the Conference Events Group assets, people and customer contracts, effective immediately.
